Snellen Clearing by a Professional

2008-05-20 02:16:16 AM
From John Yee:
I had a very depressing experience today.
But let me tell you the good news first. Recently, I checked my vision
against the chart you provided, and I found that I could see the 20/50
line after I was told that my vision was around -3.00 diopters before
I started using Eyezercise (-3.00 D is roughly equivalent to 20/225
acuity).
The bad news...I went back to the same optometrist to get my eyes
checked again, and he told me that my vision was still -3.00 diopters
and that I should forget about trying to improve my vision and that he
doesn't see any evidence that there is any improvement, et cetera.
But I know that my vision had improved to the point where I no longer
drive with my glasses. I can definitely see clearly. I am not
imagining the whole thing!!!
Thanks,"

Thanks for yet another unverifiable, third-hand anecdote.

Or if you are, you're just not imagining it hard enough to be able to have
the vision correction restriction removed from your drivers license.

Don't go to the same optometrist each time and don't let them check the
prescription on your glasses before they check your eyes.

Yes you are! What you see is what you imagine.
What one sees is only the interpretation of the mind and the data
available to the mind is only a very small portion of available
information since the senses are limited and the mind filters out most
of the information.
Imagination is the world one lives in and everyone lives in a different
world.

Imagination is the world one lives in and everyone lives in a different
world.
I live in the Real World most of the time. Most people have to, also.
When I go to the DMV and have my vision screened, they don't care what
my imagination says, I need to be able to read the letters on the chart.
If I can't, no driver's license.
If my driver's license says I need corrective lenses, and I decide I
don't, I can expect to be cited if stopped. If I get in an accident
that is my fault, I can expect my insurance company not to pay for it.

If you lived in the Real World, you would have to be God. No one lives
in the real world. This world is all our imagination. For all I know
you might not even exist. Then again, you don't. You are just a few
pixels on my screen.
